Very Nice and Reliable
Hi,
I put the Audio Recorder to immediate use in an old laptop which I needed to use to record an audio stream over the web on Monday. It worked like a charm and I have nothing but praise for the software.

Audi Recorder for Free 2008 10.7 vs Audacity
I was looking for a better alternative than Audacity to record from a microphone.
I was attracted to record directly into WMA format.
First dissapointment, you can't save as WMA Lossless.
Second mono is limited to 44Bps, while stereo 192Bps, but one doesn't - without testing with another player - if it constant bit rate or VBR.
Third and most important, you don't visualise in realtime your sound recording, so no change to adjust your voice tonality for instance.
